THE ELIDA STORY
It all started May 2, 1930 on a French Caribbean island called Martinique where Elida was born.
ELIDA was the name of our founder’s grandmother. A beautiful, fearless, tall, sophisticated French woman whose passion for baking, incorporating alcohol (especially rum) as her signature in almost every bake, inspired our founder to name his beverage alcohol and lifestyle company after her.

Elida often called her grandson (our founder) using the endearing nickname “L'Américain” (“the American” in French) due to his fascination for America since a young age. Elida inspired him to move to the US to start his business and live his American dream.
